About the Department
The Department of Education (B.Ed.) at R. S. P. College, Jharia (Belgaria), Dhanbad is one of the most esteemed and oldest departments in the institution, where the B.Ed. course has been running since the academic year 2006-2007. Initially affiliated with Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag (the parent university), the department is now under the jurisdiction of Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University, Dhanbad and is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Delhi. Currently, the department offers a two-year B.Ed. program, which operates with a sanctioned intake capacity of 100 seats, adhering to the NCTE Regulations, 2014. Since its establishment, the department has successfully trained nearly 2,000 student-teachers, gaining national recognition for its excellence in delivering quality teacher training programs. Over the years, the department has produced thousands of qualified teachers who are now contributing to the education sector by serving in both private and government institutions across various levels.
