SCHEME OF STUDIES:
Academic Stream : The Learning Area will include.
a) One of the following Core languages to be offered by all students of I.A, I.Sc, I.Com as a compulsory subject.
English / Hindi A (for Hindi Students)/ Hindi B ( For Non+ Hindi Students ) and Mother Tongue each carrying 45 marks ( Mother Tongue including Bengali, Urdu or Alternative English ) . Candidates whose Mother Tibgue is English may offer Alternative English of 50 marks.
Such candidates offering Hindi B and Mother Tongue carrying 45 marks each may offer any language as an elective subject in the Arts faculty or an additional subject in Science / Commerce faculty.
b) One of the following elective languages to be offered by all students of I.A.: Hindi, English, Bengali, Urdu, Sanskrit.
NOTE:-
a) Out of the languages, one shall be English or Hindi , Both English and Hindi can also be offered simultaneously.
b) The language may be offered either at core/Elective Level. The same language i.e. English or Hindi ‘A’ however cannot be offered both at the Core level and elective level.
c) An I.A. candidate has the freedom to offer, in lieu of one of the two languages above , any other elective subject provided under three Below:
